Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the results of the 2026 “Young Envoys Scholarship” (YES Program). The project “Sino-Australian Youth 2026 Summer IT Innovation Practice Program” submitted by our university was successfully approved. This is the first time our university has received funding for this national-level international exchange project, marking a significant breakthrough in our university’s international cooperation efforts in securing national high-level exchange projects and serving people-to-people diplomacy and the nation’s opening-up policy.

The approved “2026 Summer IT Innovation Practice Program” is based on the long-term cooperation with the University of Queensland, a top Australian university, through the “Start-up China IT Innovation Practice Program”. This year, the program will add three new professional practice directions: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Game Development. It is jointly planned and implemented by our university’s School of Software, School of Artificial Intelligence, School of Intelligent and Electronic Engineering, School of Digital Arts and Design, School of Information and Business Management, School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and School of International Education. The program will once again bring a multicultural IT practice and innovation experience to Chinese and Australian students during this year’s practical training semester. The project not only provides our outstanding students with a valuable opportunity to learn and innovate alongside young peers from around the world, but also offers a high-level platform for faculty to develop their international teaching capabilities.
