Our University Renews MoU with Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University and Conducts Youth Science and Technology Exchange

Recently, a delegation led by Zhuk Tatiana, President of Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University (FESTFU), visited our university. The two sides concurrently conducted faculty-student visits and youth science and technology exchanges. This event is a key international cooperation project promoted by our university within the framework of the 2026 China-Russia Education Year, further consolidating the foundation of cooperation between the two universities and broadening the areas of collaboration. Our university’s President Guo Quan and Vice President Zhang Wan attended relevant activities.

During the symposium, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on topics including internships, student exchange programs, joint training programs, and faculty exchanges, and officially renewed the inter-university cooperation memorandum. Guo Quan reviewed the history of cooperation between the two universities. Since establishing the partnership in 2005, the two sides have jointly cultivated over 300 outstanding Russian students through dual-degree programs in majors such as E-commerce, Information Management, and Information Systems. He stated that the university attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, and looks forward to taking this renewal of the inter-university cooperation memorandum as a new starting point to deepen cooperation in areas such as Information Technology, Digital Media, Healthcare, E-commerce, and Supply Chain Management, and to promote the implementation of projects including faculty-student exchanges, research collaboration, and talent cultivation, contributing to the high-quality development of China-Russia educational cooperation. Zhuk Tatiana expressed gratitude for our university’s warm reception. She introduced the advantages and characteristics of Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University in majors such as Marine Fisheries Technology, Navigation Technology, and Ship Engineering, and expressed the hope to establish a long-term and stable cooperative relationship with our university through this visit, achieving disciplinary complementarity and coordinated development. During the visit, the delegation toured the university’s library, the Smart Campus Exhibition Hall, the Students Office & Venture Office (SOVO), the School of Digital Arts and Design, and the Experimental Training Center, gaining a firsthand understanding of our university’s educational achievements and learning environment.

During the youth science and technology exchange between the two universities, 31 faculty and students from FESTFU’s training vessel “Pallada” visited our university. After learning about the university’s characteristics and teaching achievements, the delegation visited the Students Office & Venture Office (SOVO), the gymnasium, the Experimental Training Center, and the School of Digital Arts and Design to observe students’ technological creations and training processes. The visiting faculty and students showed strong interest in embodied robots, dance robots, and intelligent vehicles, and engaged in exchanges with our faculty and students on topics such as professional studies and technological applications. They also tasted campus specialty cuisine at the Phase III cafeteria of the Software Park Campus, experiencing Chinese culture up close. During this time, 47 of our faculty and students were invited to visit and study aboard the Russian training vessel “Pallada”. Guided by the crew, the faculty and students learned about the vessel’s history, hull structure, and navigation technology principles, and participated in a practical knot-tying class, immersively experiencing maritime technology. At the end of the event, faculty and students from both sides enjoyed Russian tea and snacks together, deepening their friendship in a relaxed atmosphere.
