From May 19 to 20, a delegation from Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation visited our university, led by Anatoly S. Kislyakov, Head of International Cooperation, Roman S. Tanchuk, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Information Technology and Big Data Analytics, and Anastasia S. Karikova, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Management. The two sides discussed and exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in the fields of education and scientific research. Our university’s President Guo Quan and Vice President Zhang Wan attended the reception.

At the symposium, Guo Quan extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He reviewed the achievements of bilateral cooperation and pointed out that our university has always attached great importance to international exchanges and cooperation. He expressed willingness to deepen cooperation with Financial University in areas such as student exchanges, faculty-student visits, and academic seminars, promoting the implementation of projects in faculty-student exchanges, research collaboration, and talent cultivation.
Anatoly S. Kislyakov and Zhang Wan signed an agreement on a joint training program in Software Engineering, aiming to strengthen partnership relations, expand the scope of joint educational programs within the existing cooperation framework, and create new possibilities for implementing academic exchange programs.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in in-depth exchanges with the School of Software and the School of Information and Business Management on topics including digital teaching, practice models, talent cultivation, and research collaboration. Additionally, the delegation visited the Software Park Campus library, the Smart Campus Exhibition Hall, the School of Modern Industry, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the School of Digital Art and Design, the gymnasium, as well as the Bochuan Campus library and smart classrooms, gaining a firsthand understanding of our university’s smart campus development, practical training system, innovation incubation platform, and professional program characteristics.
Since the establishment of cooperation between our university and Financial University in 2023, nearly 50 Russian international students have come to study at our university through dual-degree programs in majors including Software Engineering, Financial Management, and Supply Chain Management. Our students can also pursue further studies at Financial University through bachelor’s-to-master’s programs, with degrees recognized by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of the Ministry of Education. The two universities will continue to deepen cooperation, providing faculty and students with more high-quality resources and exchange platforms, and jointly cultivating outstanding talents with international competitiveness.
