From November 1st to 3rd, the 2024 China Robot Competition National Finals, hosted by the Chinese Automation Society and the People's Government of Xi'an, were held in Xi'an. After fierce competition, our students won 2 national first prizes, 2 national second prizes, and 3 national third prizes, setting a new record for our school in this competition.
The China Robot Competition, hosted by the Chinese Automation Society, is one of the most influential and highest-level robotic competitions in China. It is a major event for innovation in robotic and artificial intelligence technology, academic exchange, and the cultivation of high-end talent. The competition is committed to promoting the development of disciplines related to robotics, especially automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence. This year's competition focused on the needs of future industrial innovation, with 21 competition projects, attracting more than 3,000 participants from over 300 universities, including Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, National University of Defense Technology, and Northwestern Polytechnical University.
The quadruped bionic robot - express delivery competition project assessed the robots' mobility, coordination, stability, image recognition, and adaptability to complex terrain, showcasing the teams' capabilities in hardware design, programming, algorithm design, and task planning and optimization. The intelligent robot somatosensory competition project evaluated the robots' attack force and accuracy, mobility, and combat strategy execution, demonstrating the teams' skills in hardware assembly and optimization, programming, combat algorithm design, and complex task planning. In the final, our students faced strong opponents and demonstrated their innovative abilities in the field of robotics, as well as their comprehensive practical skills in using information technology to solve real-world problems.
