On the afternoon of September 27th, the opening ceremony for the 2024 freshmen of Dalian Neusoft University of Information was held at the sports field of the Bochuan campus. The school leadership team, leaders from various departments, colleges, teachers, and alumni representatives gathered here to welcome the new generation of 2024! All new students are filled with youthful enthusiasm and aspirations, opening a new chapter in their lives at Big NeuSoft. The ceremony was presided over by Lu Jing, Director of the Party Committee Office and the President’s Office.

The solemn flag raising ceremony kicked off the ceremony. Amidst the majestic national anthem, the bright five starred red flag rises slowly.

President Guo Quan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, warmly welcoming the new students of 2024 on behalf of all teachers and students, and bringing them a wonderful “The First Lesson of the University”. He started with the confident, resilient, straightforward, and optimistic post-2000s generation at this year’s Paris Olympics, and talked about the outstanding representatives among our school’s freshmen, encouraging them to continue to forge ahead in their university years and strive for excellence on the road to success.

The commendation conference for the academic year 2023-2024 was held on-site. School leaders award honorary certificates to representatives who have been recognized as Outstanding Collectives, Outstanding Individuals, as well as Recipients of the Alps Alpine Group Scholarship, Neusoft Education Scholarship, National Inspirational Scholarship, National Scholarship, Provincial Government Scholarship, and Huatian Scholarship.

Chen Yijue, a student from the School of Computer and Software in 2024, delivered a speech on behalf of all the new students. She passionately recounted her experiences and gains of joining the military, as well as her aspirations and expectations of returning to school. She stated that as a young university student in the new era, we should live up to our expectations and fulfill our mission, and work together with Big NeuSoft to overcome the wind and waves.

Speech by the recipient of the Huatian Scholarship and a distinguished representative of the 2022 students from the School of Intelligent and Electronic Engineering. He shared his growth experience from childhood to maturity, expressing his pride in the rapid development of the school and gratitude for its cultivation, demonstrating the courage and confidence to challenge. He encouraged his younger students to bravely pursue their dreams, constantly surpass themselves, and work together to write a brilliant chapter belonging to Big NeuSoft.

Liu Dongshuai, a 2013 alumnus of our school and chairman of Senluowanxiang Culture Industry Group, delivered a speech at the meeting. He reminisced with deep affection about his upbringing at his alma mater, told inspiring stories of starting a business with classmates, and expressed his willingness to cooperate with his alma mater in targeted training and other school enterprise cooperation. He encourages younger students to keep up with the pace of the times, constantly learn, embrace change, participate in development, and embrace society.

Li Yi, a teacher from the School of Digital Arts and Design, delivered a speech on behalf of all the teachers. She described the unique charm of DNUI to her new classmates and encouraged them to write their own wonderful stories in this magical campus. She encouraged her classmates to have a strong sense of patriotism, lofty aspirations, pursue excellence, be brave in innovation, and take on responsibilities. From now on, they should bravely explore and practice, and create a better future.

Today, I have become a proud member of DNUIers. I solemnly declare: to firmly uphold my ideals and beliefs, inherit the spirit of DNUI, bravely shoulder the heavy responsibilities of the times, and raise the sail of mission... "All the freshmen raised their right fists and made a firm vow. The grade of 2024 freshmen has brought new strength to the campus of DNUI. From the desolate Youjia village to a prestigious university with over 20, 000 students, Dalian Neusoft University of Information is confidently embarking on another new journey of development!

At the end of the ceremony, all the teachers and students sang “Sing to the Motherland” together, demonstrating the high fighting spirit of the teachers and students of Dalian Neusoft University of Information in pursuing their dreams and playing the march of high-quality development of Dalian Neusoft University of Information.
