On the afternoon of May 15th, Vice President of Sony China and Director of Sony China Research Institute, Takeyuki Takenakashi, Deputy Director of Sony China Research Institute, Sun Chen, and Hu Xinghua, Deputy Head of the Product Engineering and IT Service Business Department of NEUSOFT Japan Co., Ltd., visited our school for exchange. Vice President of our school, Li Yingqiu, received the visiting guests. Relevant persons in charge of the Research Department, School of Computer and Software, School of Intelligent and Electronic Engineering, and School of Digital Arts and Design accompanied the visit and exchange.

Takeyuki Takenakashi and his party first visited the artificial intelligence application laboratory of our school. The relevant teachers introduced the research results of our school in the field of artificial intelligence technology in industrial quality inspection, water ecological environment monitoring, and medical image diagnosis, demonstrated the application of self-developed intelligent robots, introduced the project results of the smart agriculture research direction, explained the principle and application scenarios of the laser light supplementing unmanned planting box, and demonstrated the agricultural hardware collection solution developed by teachers and students based on ZigBee.

The guests then visited the bionic quadruped robot laboratory, the industrial robot laboratory, and the semiconductor process and integrated circuit test laboratory. The relevant teachers demonstrated that the simulation robot realizes functions such as path planning and obstacle avoidance through machine vision recognition, and simultaneously demonstrated common actions in the industrial production line such as intelligent grasping achieved by the industrial robot through vision and algorithm analysis. In addition, in the semiconductor process laboratory, the related processes of semiconductor production and manufacturing such as oxidation, lithography, and etching were shown to the visiting guests.

Subsequently, the guests came to the exhibition hall of the School of Digital Arts and Design, and the relevant teachers demonstrated the virtual reality interactive experience projects and immersive situational space and other artistic achievements produced by teachers and students of our school.

The guests continued to visit the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Student Office and Venture Office (SOVO). Our school students introduced the “Aiwu Technology Smart Home Care for the Elderly Project” of the Higher Vocational and Technical College and the “Automatic Control Manipulator” project of the School of Intelligent and Electronic Engineering to the visiting guests.

Li Yingqiu introduced the current scientific research results of our school in the fields of medicine and agriculture to the visiting guests.
