Vice President of Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics in Japan Visited Our University

On April 15th, Yoichi Terashita, Vice President of Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, Li Meihui, Director of the International Students Department, and Kenya Kishida, Director of the Japanese Language Training Center of Kyoto Computer Science College Kamogawa Campus, visited our university. Guo Quan, President of our school, and Zhang Wan, Vice President of our school, met with the visiting guests. Rong Yidan, Dean of the School of International Education, and Zhang Tingting, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, accompanied the reception.

Since 2010, our university has established a partnership with Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics for the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs, and many of the students who participated in the program have developed well. Since 2022, our university and Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics have officially launched the “3+2 International Course” program, which provides students with a high-quality and fast way to graduate school, and students can obtain a master’s degree from a foreign institution in as little as 5 years.

During the visit, the teachers of the visiting group held wonderful lectures and briefings for the international students.

Li Meihui vividly demonstrated the micro- and macro-concepts of internationalization for the students through the form of games and answers, which helped them to have a further understanding about the internationalized talents.

Following last year's online class with students, Ken Kishida also conducted face-to-face Japanese classes with students for the first time. He reviewed the content of the online lecture and gave a wonderful grammar explanation in Chinese and Japanese.

Miao Bokun, a teacher from the China Admissions Office of the International Student Department, gave a detailed introduction to the students about the graduate program and life of the graduate school at the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics.

In 2011, Terashita Yoichi was a visiting scholar to teach information courses to students of the Department of Computer Science of our university, and had scientific research-related exchanges with the faculty of the department.
