To deepen cultural and educational exchanges between young people in China and ASEAN countries, and strengthen communication and cooperation between young people in the two regions, Mr. Senjaya Mulia, founder of ASEAN Youth Organization, and his delegation visited our school on November 22 for exchange and visit. Zhang Wan, Vice President of the university, received the visiting guests, accompanied by Dean of the School of International Education, Rong Yidan, and others.

Mr. Mulia and his delegation visited our school’s library, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Digital Arts and Design School, expressing appreciation for the school’s training philosophy in innovation and entrepreneurship education, educational digital application practice, and digital talent cultivation. They also spoke highly of the students for their achievements in combining traditional arts with digital technology. Mr. Mulia expressed his hope that young students from ASEAN countries can have more exchanges with students from DNUI and jointly create more digital achievements.

Subsequently, Mr. Mulia and his delegation visited Dalian Ruikang Cardiovascular Hospital, Neusoft Education Technology Group, and Neusoft Group (Dalian) Co., Ltd. to gain a deeper understanding of Neusoft’s industrial background and advantages in the fields of IT and educational technology. Both sides held discussions at our school’s Bochuan campus and reached a consensus on cooperation in building an exchange platform between DNUIers and ASEAN youth, and promoting the digital education process of ASEAN youth. Both sides jointly stated that they will fully leverage their respective strengths, jointly design projects, and strive to promote cooperation that is conducive to enhancing understanding and friendship between Chinese and ASEAN youth, contributing to improving the international competence of students from both regions and their development on the international stage.

The ASEAN Youth Organization was established in 2013 with the aim of promoting cross-cultural connections in the ASEAN region, stimulating cross-border cooperation, and encouraging like-minded young people to create sustainable social impact. The organization encourages participants to actively explore, apply the best solutions to solve problems in the community, promote knowledge and experience sharing, and create a platform for promoting mutual understanding and building friendships.
