On November 29th, President Nishihira Shin of Hokkaido Information University, Executive Director Abe Takashi, and Professor Tanaka Hideo visited our university to attend the signing ceremony and unveiling ceremony of the Smart Health Research Center for Dalian Neusoft University of Information and Hokkaido Information University (hereinafter referred to as the Smart Health Research Center). President Guo Quan of our university, Vice Presidents Li Yingqiu and Zhang Wan, among others, attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, President Guo Quan expressed that both China and Japan have entered an actively aging society. In this context, the exchange and cooperation between the two universities in the field of smart health, including talent training, scientific research, and social services, are of great social significance. In the future, the two universities will deepen their cooperation continuously, achieve more valuable results, benefit students, and serve society.

President Nishihira stated that Hokkaido Information University and Dalian Neusoft University of Information have been cooperating for many years. The two universities share many similarities in terms of industrial background, professional settings, and educational characteristics. He hopes that the cooperation mode and experience between the two universities will become a model for Sino-Japanese educational cooperation and exchange.

President Guo Quan and President Nishihira jointly signed the cooperation framework agreement and unveiled the Smart Health Research Center.

During the visit, the delegation from Hokkaido Information University visited the School of Digital Arts and Design, the SOVO Entrepreneurship Center, the laboratories of the School of Health and Medical Technology, the intelligent classrooms at the Bochuan Campus, affiliated Cardiovascular Hospital and affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Dalian Neusoft University of Information and the Research Institute of Dalian Neusoft University of Information, among other places. In-depth discussions were held on possible cooperation in fields such as ICT, digital media, and health care technology.

The Smart Health Research Center is a platform for international research and talent exchange cooperation in the field of smart health care jointly established by the university and Hokkaido Information University. The research center is located at the Research Institute of Dalian Neusoft University of Information and will focus on smart health care, with a focus on research directions such as AI+Nutrition, AI+XR+Medical Health, and big data analysis on health, leveraging the advantages of the Neusoft Health Industry. In the future, the university will also rely on the Neusoft Research Institute to carry out international academic exchange cooperation with more overseas universities.
