On the afternoon of September 27th, the Bochuan Campus Sports Stadium of the school became a "soft blue" ocean. The 2023 freshmen, dressed in brand new school uniforms, welcomed the important ceremony of entering university-the opening ceremony. The school leadership team, leaders of various colleges, departments, teachers, and alumni representatives are gathered here to welcome the joining of the 2023 freshmen! The ceremony was presided over by Lu Jing, Director of the Party Committee Office and the President's Office.

The solemn flag raising ceremony kicked off. In the majestic national anthem, the bright five-star red flag rises slowly.

President Guo Quan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, warmly welcoming all the new students of the 2023 grade and bringing them a wonderful "first lesson of the university". He shared with the freshmen about the 23-year history of the school’s establishment, and shared the fruitful achievements of the school in talent cultivation quality, deep integration of industry, education and research, and achieving high-quality development.

The 2022-2023 academic year commendation conference was also held on-site. Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President Ren Hao read out the Decision on Commending Excellent Collectives and Individuals of the School for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Vice President Shen Hua read out the Decision on Awarding Scholarships for the 2022-2023 Academic Year and the Decision on Commending Students Awarded the Huatian Scholarship for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. The school leaders respectively awarded honorary certificates to outstanding collectives, outstanding individuals, and representatives who received Alpine Scholarship, Neusoft Education Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship, and Huatian Scholarship.

Su Qisen, a 2023 student from the School of Intelligent and Electronic Engineering, delivered a speech on behalf of all new students. Two years ago, he enlisted for compulsory military service, and this year he returned to campus as a freshman. In his speech, he shared his experiences and gains in the military camp, and expressed his longing and expectations for university learning and life.

Luan Qigui, a recipient of the Huatian Scholarship and a 2020 student from the School of Digital Arts and Design, delivered a speech on behalf of the award-winning students. He said that during his three years in university, he witnessed multiple milestone new developments in the school and felt extremely proud. He shared his growth and gains in innovation and entrepreneurship, social practice, and other areas, and the school provided students with a broad development platform, which greatly benefited them.

2006 alumnus Li Zheng gave a speech at the meeting. He expressed great honor to return to his alma mater and attended the opening ceremony. He and several alumni initiated and established the first Neusoft Alumni Scholarship, hoping to support the dreams of his fellow students and motivate himself to continue working hard and contribute greater value to society.

Zhou Hui, a teacher from the School of Computer and Software, gave a speech at the meeting. She said that she thanked students for choosing DUNI as a new starting point and dream stage in their lives. She hoped that during their university years, they would lay the key "foreshadowing" for their life, from falcon wings to being able to fight the long sky, and become capable information warriors and pioneers of a strong country. She hoped that students would have a clear goal, pursue their dreams and embark on a long journey, study hard, practice diligently, seek truth and innovation, cultivate and build their character.

"Today, I become a glorious person from DUNI, and I solemnly swear: to firmly uphold my ideals and beliefs, inherit the spirit of DUNI, shoulder the heavy responsibilities of the times, and raise the sail of the mission..." All the new students raised their right fists, and the oath was resounding. The addition of new students of the 2023 grade has brought new strength to the campus.
