In order to deeply study and understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s reply to the representatives of teachers and students of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) who participated in the development of the “Macau Science 1” satellite, President Guo Quan led a delegation to visit the university to deepen our cooperation and exchanges on June 12th. Vice President Shen Hua, Vice President Li Yingqiu and Director of the President’s Office Lu Jing accompanied him.

President Guo Quan and his delegation visited the Information Technology Exhibition Hall, the History and Achievements Exhibition Hall of M.U.S.T., and the Film and Television Hall of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts. They carefully studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s reply, and were deeply encouraged.

During the stay at M.U.S.T., the delegation had in-depth exchanges with Pang Chuan, Vice President of M.U.S.T., Li Jianqing, Assistant Dean of School of Innovation Engineering, and Feng Junguo, Executive Director of Graduate School, and reached broad consensus on inter-university cooperation.

Subsequently, President Guo Quan and the delegation had a friendly and warm discussion with Zhang Du, Dean of the School of Innovation Engineering; Zhang Zhiqing, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts; Zeng Zhihui, Assistant Dean of the School of Medicine, Vice President and Executive Director of the Hospital of M.U.S.T.; and Zhu Aiwei, Director of the Secretariat of the President’s Office, Office Director of the Department of General Education and Administrative Director of the School of Innovation Engineering.

The two sides respectively introduced the universities’ characteristics, the achievements in recent years and the future development direction. In the next step, the two sides will strengthen ties, and further carry out cooperation in the exchange of teachers and students, personnel training, scientific and technological research and development, jointly contributing to the development of regional and national education.
