Our university was invited to attend the China Electronic Information Education Development Conference and delivered a keynote speech

From May 12 to 14, 2023, China Electronic Information Education Development Conference, sponsored by the National Advisory Committee on Teaching Electronic Information to Majors in Higher Education under The Ministry of Education and hosted by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Tsinghua University Press, was held in Beijing. The conference invited four academicians, over thirty presidents and deans to make theme and forum reports. The lofty, ambitious reports of more than forty experts are rich in content and inspiring. More than 400 heads of disciplines and specialties from more than 300 colleges and universities across the country attended the conference to discuss the independent training of talents in the new era and scientific and technological self-reliance. Professor Shen Hua, Vice President of our university, and Professor Song Wenbin, Deputy Dean of the School of Intelligence and Electronic Engineering, were invited to attend the conference. Vice President Shen Hua was invited to give a keynote speech.

With the title “Construction and Practice of Application-Oriented Talent Training System in the Age of Digital Intelligence”, Vice President Shen Hua called for the transformation of application-oriented college talent training in the age of digital intelligence, the construction of application-oriented talent training system supported by intelligent education platform, and the creation of integrated application-oriented talent training mode based on ability training. He also shared the idea of establishing an application-oriented curriculum system oriented by ability training and five-level projects in the context of the digital intelligence era, and the realization of “double closed-loop” evaluation of majors/courses using the smart education management platform. Our applied talent training system and digital talent training model have been widely recognized by the participants.

The Electronic Information majors of our school have always adhered to the outcomes-based progressive ability training mode, and built a three-level project system. We built a third-level project based on the course, a second-level project based on the course group, and a first-level project based on the professional curriculum system, forming outcomes-based five-level project progressive ability training mode. Taking the core training goal of Electronic Information Engineering majors—the design and development ability of embedded system hardware and software as an example, the school has constructed a professional curriculum system and the main line of ability training that adapt to the development of the whole embedded process. In the training process, the smart education platform is used to realize the closed loop of the major and the curriculum to ensure the achievement of the professional training goal.

After the reports, experts and scholars in the field of higher education from all over the country focused on the theme of “new era, new development, and new blueprint for training high-quality talents in electronic information”, and carried out extensive and warm exchanges and discussions on theoretical research, talent training, system construction and practical exploration of higher education and teaching reform from different perspectives and dimensions.
