On the evening of March 29, our university, together with Dalian Maritime University, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Dalian Jiaotong University and Dalian University, participated in the Dalian Schools of Higher Learning for International Students Enrollment Fair (Argentina Special Session), which was held by the Foreign Affairs Office of Dalian Municipal Government. Li Yingqiu, Vice President of our school, attended the event.

This introduction fair invited more than 200 representatives from fifteen Argentine universities, six Argentine business associations, and the municipal governments of Santa Fe, Blanca, Buenos Aires, and Mar del Plata to participate online.

 In 2022, our university and Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL) [the National University of Coastal Argentina?] concluded an inter-university cooperation agreement and carried out substantive international exchanges between teachers and students under the active promotion of the Foreign Affairs Office of Dalian Municipal Government. UNL also participated in the online activity as our school’s friendly institution. In the university presentation part, teachers from the School of International Education of our university introduced the general situation, major setting and educational characteristics in detail. Furthermore, they introduced our school’s brand project “Start-up China” Summer Program particularly, which is an international summer IT innovation and entrepreneurship project launched by our school and overseas partner universities in 2017. It has been held successfully for three sessions with nearly 200 international students from Australia, Indonesia, Russia, Kuwait and other countries participating.

The event was widely praised by teachers and students of Argentinian universities, and the local media also reported on the briefing. The Foreign Affairs Office of Dalian Municipal Government has made full use of its advantages in foreign affairs resources and built a good platform for foreign publicity and communication for all colleges and universities. The holding of this information session will further enhance the cooperation between Dalian and Argentina in the field of higher education, and open the window for the Argentine people to know more about Dalian, hence having a positive impact on promoting the friendly cooperation between China and South American countries. Our university will continue to work on the “Studying Abroad in DNUI” Project by strengthening links with major Argentine universities and expanding cooperation fields to provide talent support for China-Argentina cooperation.
