On April 8th, the fifth Liaoning Provincial College Students' Network Culture Festival “Venustech Cup” Network Security Skills Competition, co-sponsored by the Education Working Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, and jointly organized by the Liaoning Provincial University Network Ideological and Political Work Center, Liaoning Provincial Network Security Guarantee Work Alliance, Liaoning Provincial Internet Association, and Shenyang Ligong University, was held at the Liaoning Planning and Designing Institute of Post and Telecommunication Digital Talent Base. The competition used a CTF competition format in the preliminary round. The participating team members of our school's Cybersecurity Workshop performed outstandingly in the fierce competition, with two teams successfully advancing to the finals. One of the teams won first place in the final.

In the final, among the 25 undergraduate teams competing, the two participating teams from our Cybersecurity Workshop demonstrated strong technical skills and outstanding offensive and defensive capabilities. In particular, the N3w55 team from the Cybersecurity Workshop performed exceptionally well in the final.

Through years of research and exploration, our Cybersecurity Workshop has won numerous awards in various competitions. In 2020, the workshop won the first prize in the provincial level of the Third Liaoning Provincial College Students' Network Culture Festival 'Venustech Cup' Network Security Skills Competition. In 2021, it won the national first prize in the National College Students' Network Security Knowledge Elite Competition, and the provincial first prize in the 'Green Alliance Cup' Liaoning Province Information and Communication Industry Network Security Skills Competition. In 2022, it won the national third prize in the National College Students' Information Security and Countermeasure Technology Competition, the national third prize in the 'Strong Country Cup' Technical Skills Competition-Network and Data Security Application Technology Competition, and the first prize in the Network Security Competition of the 13th Dalian Vocational Skills Competition (one person was awarded the Dalian Network Security Technology Model Worker). In 2023, it won the provincial second prize in the network security competition of the first Liaoning Provincial Vocational Skills Competition.
