DNUI Ranks first in the ranking of China's Applied Undergraduate Colleges and Universities

Recently, Index of Competitiveness of Application-oriented University Research-Group (ICAUR) continued to launch the 2022 Annual Comprehensive Competitiveness Report of China Application-oriented Universities based on the 2018 and 2019 China Application-oriented  Universities Comprehensive Competitiveness Report, which comprehensively evaluated the teaching, scientific research and social services of 670 application-oriented universities (284 public application-oriented undergraduate universities, 222 private Application-oriented undergraduate universities and 164 independent colleges) in terms of teaching, scientific research and social services, etc. Among them, the analysis focuses on the construction of first-class majors in application-oriented universities, and Dalian Neusoft University of Information has seven majors approved as national construction points of first-class undergraduate majors, ranking first among private application-oriented universities and 28 among 670 application-oriented universities.


First-class undergraduate majors are one of the important indicators to measure the level of a university. The construction of national first-class undergraduate majors is of great significance for the university to improve the connotation level of majors, accelerate high-quality development, promote characteristic schooling and improve the cultivation capacity of applied talents. Since December of 2019, the General Office of Ministry of Education has announced the list of national first-class undergraduate major construction sites of each university in 2019, 2020 and 2021 one after another. The 15 first-class undergraduate majors cover four disciplines of engineering, management, arts and literature, accounting for 42% of the number of undergraduate majors and covering nearly 70% of the undergraduate students. Seven national first-class undergraduate majors are: computer science and technology, software engineering, digital media technology, electronic information engineering, integrated circuit design and integration. The seven national first-class undergraduate majors are: computer science and technology, software engineering, digital media technology, electronic information engineering, integrated circuit design and integrated systems, e-commerce and animation, all of which are digital technology-related majors, fully highlighting the special effectiveness and leading level of our university in the construction of pan-IT applied undergraduate majors.
