On September 25, the sun shone brightly and the autumn breeze was cool in Dalian, the coastal city. The beautiful and elegant Bochuan campus was newly decorated, and the theme arch of "Warmly welcome the new students of Grade 2022" and the five big words of "Hello, new students" were unfolded along the steps as soon as you entered the campus, filling a warm and festive atmosphere everywhere. The freshmen of grade 2022 came from all over the world with great expectations, which made Dalian Neusoft University of Information Bochuan Campus full of vitality and hope.

Early in the morning, a pick-up bus departed from Dalian Neusoft University of Information and went to Dalian Railway Station, Dalian North Railway Station, and Zhoushuizi Airport, where volunteers enthusiastically waited for the arrival of the new students of Grade 2022. The volunteers who were responsible for picking up the students at the airport and station were all teachers from our school.

Before entering the school, the freshmen of Grade 2022 had already completed the online check-in through the self-help orientation system. After arriving at the school, students had to go through the "Security Gate" first: disinfection, temperature measurement, scanning venue code, verification of one card and one code, scanning ID card to check the eligibility to return to school, and then have the nucleic acid test.

Li Hao, a freshman from the School of Computer Science, said, "The first day when I stepped into the campus, I was particularly excited. I was on the school bus and enjoyed the scenery along the way. I also met our advisor, who carefully asked me to have personal protection. When we arrived at the entrance of the dormitory building, the volunteers enthusiastically carried our luggage for us, which made me feel the warmth and enthusiasm of Neusoft. I am more determined that coming to Neusoft is the most correct choice."

From the moment they arrived at the campus gate, volunteers greeted them, took the luggage from the freshmen, and led them to take the shuttle bus in an orderly manner.

When they came to the living area, teachers and seniors of each college had been waiting for a long time, and their greetings and warm words made the new students feel the warmth of the big Neusoft family. The college also prepared a warm "meet and greet" gift for the new students, which immediately eliminated the unfamiliarity of the first meeting.

President Guo Quan, Party Secretary Zhang Guochen, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Ren Hao, Vice Presidents Shen Hua, Li Yingqiu, and Yu Qingjun, Chief Financial Officer Chen Pingping, and Assistant Presidents Zhang Wan and Zhang Jin also came to the orientation site and inspected the orientation work at the train station, airport pick-up point, student dormitories, cafeteria, and various check-in points, meticulously understood the epidemic prevention and control arrangements, the progress of the orientation work of each college, and extended their regards to the volunteers and staff who participated in the orientation and did the on-site coordination to solve various problems, etc.

To help the new students to do a good job in the check-in service, teachers and volunteers from all colleges and departments of the university were involved in the orientation work. Some of them were responsible for picking up the station; some were responsible for helping students carry their luggage; some were responsible for guiding the campus shuttle buses, and some were responsible for welcoming new students from various colleges in the dormitory building. From entering the campus to the end of the check-in, enthusiastic volunteers could be seen everywhere on the campus, and they provided comprehensive warm-hearted services for the new students.
