On the morning of June 18, the 2026 Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony of Dalian Neusoft University of Information was held in the lecture hall of Bochuan Campus. All university leaders and members of the University Degree Evaluation Committee attended the event. Heads of departments and schools, faculty representatives, representatives of the Class of 2026 graduates and parent representatives gathered to witness this significant moment. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Li Yingqiu.

Prior to the formal ceremony, a variety of warm up activities were arranged in the waiting area, including mini graduation solo performances, intangible cultural heritage hand craft interaction sessions, and graduation memory quiz and lottery games.

The curtain drama Light & Shadow: Framing Four Years kicked off the ceremony. Centered on Neusoft students’ campus life, it wove together youthful memories from university days, taking graduates on a collective nostalgic journey. The graduation MV Deepen Roots, Set Sail is filled with graduates’ exclusive memories of Neusoft, recording their profound affection for the alma mater.

In addition, 255 graduates were selected as 2026 Alumni Liaison Ambassadors. These enthusiastic and dedicated students will serve as bonds linking the alma mater with fellow alumni. Li Hao, a 2022 enrolled student from the School of Artificial Intelligence, delivered a speech on behalf of graduates.Liu Pisuo, father of Liu Siqi from the School of Information and Business Management, spoke as the parent representative. He extended sincere gratitude to the university and teachers and offered best wishes to young people embarking on new journeys.

Amid warm applause, President Guo Quan delivered a commencement address. On behalf of the university, he extended warm congratulations to the Class of 2026. At this parting moment, he put forward three expectations for graduates. First, in the “algorithm driven” era, stay sober minded and think independently. Keep pursuing objective truth, avoid being trapped by data or enslaved by algorithms, master technology with independent minds, and take charge of your own life and value choices. Second, amid the “virtual reality” wave, uphold the power of real world action. Step onto the broad social stage, be not only thoughtful observers of rules but also down to earth doers, and create social value through hard won practice. Third, in this fast changing world, hold fast to unchanging spiritual bearings. Guided by steady spiritual and value benchmarks, live up to Neusoft people’s sense of responsibility in the grand course of Chinese style modernization.

President Guo sent heartfelt wishes to graduates: “Though mountains and seas may separate us, the alma mater always cares for you. No matter how far you travel, we await your triumphant return. Your alma mater will always be your solid backing and warm harbor. May you hold passionate ideals in heart, keep bright visions in sight, march forward steadily and calmly, brave waves in the tides of the times, devote yourselves to persistent efforts in the broad world, and shine brilliantly!”

Cherished schoolmate bonds cannot stop parting, yet the alma mater’s affection endures forever. Graduates waved their hands and sang Dreams on the Road, the signature song of Neusoft, in chorus. The familiar melody echoed in everyone’s hearts, bringing strength for their future journeys. The graduation ceremony concluded amid the graduates’ heartfelt singing.

Following the graduation ceremony came the degree conferring session. Graduates took the stage one by one. University leaders and members of the Degree Evaluation Committee awarded graduation certificates, performed the tassel turning ritual and took group photos with each graduate.

When the ceremony drew to an end, all university leaders and faculty stood up. To the soundtrack of Fly with Confidence, they waved with sincere expectations, seeing off the Class of 2026 as they set off toward their futures.
