The 2025 FISU University World Cup Football kicked off splendidly in the "Football City" of Dalian on September 17. On the afternoon of September 18, as a friendly institution, a 23-member delegation from the Women's Football Team of the University of Southern Santa Catarina (Unisul), Brazil, was invited to visit DNUI for a visit and cultural exchange.

DNUI Vice President Zhang Wan extended a warm welcome to the visiting team. She introduced DNUI's history, educational characteristics and achievements to the visiting students. She stated that Dalian Neusoft University of Information places great importance on exchange and cooperation with international institutions and welcomed the students to potentially study in China at DNUI in the future. The university also specially prepared cultural and creative souvenirs for the students who came from afar, and the team reciprocated by presenting a signed team jersey and mementos.

The team members watched the university promotional video and visited the library on Software Park Campus, the Digital Intelligence Campus Exhibition Hall, key laboratories, the Student Office & Venture Office (SOVO), and the School of Digital Arts and Design Exhibition Hall. Through these immersive experiences, they learned about the university's distinctive features, discovered the charm of Dalian, and immersed themselves in Chinese culture. The players observed obstacle avoidance by carts in a simulated industrial park scenario, a robot performance of "Farewell My Concubine," robotic dog demonstrations, and 3D printing. In the School of Digital Arts and Design Exhibition Hall, the team members immersed themselves in the "Dong Xiaolong" VR experience, the "MR Picking Dreams Star Sea" project, and the making of traditional cultural lacquer fans, with constant laughter and joy on site. The team expressed their sincere gratitude for DNUI's warm reception and meticulous arrangements and hoped to use this visit as an opportunity to further promote connection and cooperation between the two institutions.

Since accepting the task related to hosting and supporting teams for the 2025 FISU University World Cup Football in April this year, DNUI has attached great importance to it, establishing a special working group involving multiple departments and schools to fully initiate liaison work with the FISU teams. Detailed communication and arrangements were made regarding various reception matters such as the team's itinerary in Dalian, personnel arrangements, and security plans. During the event, the university actively organized students to participate in the opening and closing ceremony performances and game-watching activities, and selected faculty and student volunteers to assist with service support for the teams during their stay in Dalian.

This visit by the Women's Football Team from the University of Southern Santa Catarina, Brazil, enhanced communication, understanding, and cultural mutual learning between the two universities, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in more areas and at deeper levels.
