On July 25th, a total of 151 long-term and short-term international students from the Academy of National Economy and Public Administration directly under the Russian President, Altai State Pedagogical University, Nizhny Novgorod State University, and the Finance and Economics University directly under the Russian Government gathered at the campus of Dalian Neusoft University of Information to jointly kick off our 2025 Russian summer program.

At the opening ceremony, Vice President Zhang Wan extended a warm welcome to the Russian teachers and students who had traveled from afar. She stated that Sino-Russian educational cooperation not only promotes cultural exchanges between the two countries but also provides valuable international learning opportunities for young students. She expressed her hope that through the projects between the two universities, Russian students can have a better cross-cultural learning experience and grow through exchanges.

The Russian teacher representatives also expressed their expectations for the project. Natalia, the teacher leading the Chinese language class at Altai State Pedagogical University, said that learning Chinese is an important bond between Chinese and Russian youth. Tatyana, the teacher leading the Digital Arts class at the Institute of National Economy and Public Administration directly under the Russian President, encouraged the students to actively participate in practice and enhance their cross-cultural competence in professional learning.

The courses of the project are respectively undertaken by the School of Software, the School of Digital Arts and Design, and the School of International Education. Zheng Chunjun, Dean of the School of Software, stated in his speech that the School of Software will provide comprehensive support for international students. Gang Jialin, Dean of the School of Digital Arts and Design, expressed that the project holds significant importance in promoting inter-school cooperation and joint training of digital art talents. Zhang Xin, a teacher from the Foreign Chinese Culture Teaching Center of the School of International Education, provided specific learning suggestions from the perspective of Chinese language teaching and encouraged everyone to actively integrate into and experience Chinese campus life.

The Sino-Russian summer program highlights the training characteristics of "language + major", systematically integrating Chinese language courses and Chinese cultural experience while deepening professional course teaching. During the weeks of the program, students will embark on a compact and enriching journey of learning and cultural experience.
