President Guo Quan Leads Delegation to Visit Japanese Partner Institutions

From April 13 to 17, President Guo Quan led a delegation to Japan for educational exchange activities. The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with multiple Japanese universities and institutions on talent cultivation for aging societies, advancing international cooperation and innovation in the fields of “IT + New Media + Health and Medical Technology”.

On April 13, Guo Quan’s delegation visited Kyoto Institute of Information Technology and reached new agreements with President Shitara Youichi and Vice President Tsuchi Garyouichi on undergraduate-to-master’s programs, joint talent cultivation in Southeast Asia, and the co-construction of “IT + Medical” professional clusters.

On the same day, the delegation also visited Kyoto Tachibana University and held talks with President Okada Tomohiro. Both parties agreed to expand student and faculty exchanges and enhance cross-border e-commerce and industry-university-research cooperation.

On April 15, the delegation visited Kawasaki Medical Junior College and Kawasaki Medical Welfare University. Meetings were held with Kawanishi Gakuen Vice Chairman and Kawasaki Medical Junior College President Akiyama Yasushi, Kawasaki Medical Welfare University President Higurashi Akio, and Vice President Miyagawa Ken. Exchanges focused on nursing education innovation and smart aging models, promoting deeper collaboration in these fields.

On April 16, the delegation visited Kyorin University and met with President Watanaishi Takashi to discuss the cultivation of high-level nursing professionals and innovation in integration of medicine and engineering. At Musashino Texas Hospital, both parties discussed the employment of international talents in Japan’s medical industry.

At Digital Hollywood Company, the delegation engaged in deep discussions with Executive Director Ino Shigeto on “new media + industry”, covering short-term student exchange programs and joint course development between China and Japan.

Guo Quan stated that by drawing on Japan’s practical experience and educational models in the wellness field, and leveraging the school’s digital advantages, we aim to deepen multidimensional cooperation with Japanese institutions in faculty development, joint degree programs, course resource sharing, and smart wellness technology research. Together, we will explore a sustainable development path combining education, medical care, nursing, rehabilitation and tourism, addressing the challenges of aging societies in higher education.
