The China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition (CRAIC) is China’s first major competition dedicated to robotics technology and AI applications, and is a leading example of an authoritative national-level academic competition. This edition was jointly organized by national-level academic societies and relevant institutions, earning considerable recognition for its authority and professional standards. A total of 1,357 students from 276 universities across China gathered along the Songhua River to compete in cutting-edge categories, including smart agriculture, intelligent driving, smart production-line applications, air-ground collaboration involving drones, all-terrain collaborative robots, brain-computer interface and emergency robotics, and intelligent industrial-control systems. As one of the competition’s core categories, Brain-Computer Interface and Emergency Robotics focused on frontier areas such as brain-computer interfaces, intelligent perception, emergency decision-making, and collaborative robot control. Its challenges addressed the national need for intelligent emergency management and assessed algorithm design, system integration, and simulated real-world operations through a rigorous, practice-oriented format.
