DNUI Adds Another National First Prize in China Robot and AI Competition!

On August 23-24, 2025, the National Finals of the Humanoid Robot Special Contest of the 27th China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition commenced in Yaohai, Hefei. This competition is the nation's first full-size humanoid robot event, attracting participation from over a hundred top universities including Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Soochow University, who competed in a top-level contest focused on "Robotics and Artificial Intelligence." Students from our School of Intelligence and Electronics Engineering delivered an outstanding performance,  achieving a historic breakthrough in this competition, winning one National First Prize, one Second Prize, and one Third Prize in the Robot Mission Challenge - Aelos Robot Challenge (Raspberry Pi Version)!

As one of China's most influential and technically comprehensive robotics discipline competitions, the China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition, since its inception in 1999, has attracted participation from over 1,000 universities nationwide and more than 460, 000 entrants. It is included in the "Ranking of Subject Competitions for Regular Higher Education Institutions in China" and the "Analysis Report on College Student Competitions in Regular Higher Education Institutions" released by the China Association of Higher Education.

In this competition, our faculty and students worked together to successfully overcome technical challenges such as robot motion control, image recognition and path planning, and embedded AI system development, earning honors once again for DNUI! With these achievements, DNUI has now won a total of 5 National First Prizes, 10 Second Prizes, and 10 Third Prizes in the 27th China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition, fully demonstrating the university's solid strength in talent cultivation in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence.
