DNUI values education and teaching highly. So far, it has been awarded a total of 7 national first-class undergraduate program construction sites and 8 provincial first-class undergraduate program construction sites in national and provincial selection. The number of national first-class undergraduate program construction sites approved is the highest among all private universities in China. The 15 first-class undergraduate program construction sites cover four disciplines: engineering, management, arts, and literature, accounting for 42% of the total number of undergraduate programs offered by the university and serving nearly 70% of the undergraduate students. In the comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate programs conducted by Liaoning Province for three consecutive years from 2012 to 2014, 7 out of 11 of DNUI's evaluated programs were ranked among the top three in the province. Fundamentals of Programming (C Language) 1 and Internet of Things System Development have been rated as the national first-class undergraduate courses, and a total of 116 courses have been recognized as top undergraduate courses in Liaoning province.

The seven national first-class construction sites of undergraduate programs are Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Digital Media Technology, Electronic Information Engineering, E-Commerce, Animation, and Integrated Circuit Design and Integrated Systems.
