Without turning the tassel and embracing to say goodbye, the graduates have embarked on a new journey. The graduation season is particularly different in midsummer of June due to the impact of the epidemic this year. In 2020, nearly 4,000 students of Dalian Neusoft University of Information are facing graduation. In order to ensure the smooth graduation, "Cloud Class" and "Cloud Thesis Defense" have been launched. Graduation ceremony is a youth ceremony, which means that graduates will start a new chapter in their lives. After more than a month's preparation, Dalian Neusoft University of Information moved the graduation ceremony to the cloud on June 16, bringing a perfect ending to the campus life of all the graduates of the class of 2020.

The graduation ceremony was carried out in a combination of online and offline mode, and graduates of various colleges watched the live broadcast online in different ways. The graduation ceremony kicked off with the solemn national anthem, and Zhang Wan, Director of the President's office, presided over the ceremony.

With great expectations for all the graduates, Professor Wen Tao, the President, delivered a speech at the graduation ceremony. First of all, President Wen congratulated the class of 2020 students who have completed their studies and successfully graduated, and thanked the students' parents and teachers for their hard work. He said that in four years spanning over 1,300 days and nights, the graduates of 2020 have made great efforts to practice the school motto of "To Learn and To Apply", and adhere to the learning style of " Think Creatively，Learn Actively，Apply Skillfully". They have made vigorous efforts and been fearless in the face of the severe COVID-19 epidemic.

President Wen pointed out that due to the impact of the epidemic, the class of 2020 graduates are facing unprecedented employment pressure. However, by virtue of their excellent academic performance and practical experience during the school, many graduates of Dalian Neusoft University of Information have successfully entered IT companies such as Tencent and Huya to become a full stack development engineer after graduation; some have successfully obtained offers from many foreign universities; some have successfully entered some scientific research institutions under the Academy of Military Sciences and become a researcher; some have taken the first place in the examination for the master's degree. During the epidemic period, the school received several thank-you letters commending school students for taking the initiative to fight against the epidemic. They proved their own value with their strength and took responsibility with their actions.

At the ceremony, Vice President Guo Quan congratulated 3845 students who graduated successfully this year, 3450 graduates who received bachelor degrees, 8 students who received minor degrees, and 225 outstanding graduates who received the title of outstanding graduates from Liaoning Province and Dalian City and encouraged graduates to always keep in mind the teachings of their alma mater, take graduation as a new starting point and forge ahead to make contribution to the society.

At the cloud graduation ceremony, the class of 2020 graduates expressed their nostalgia for the campus through the Cloud MUSIC video "The Whole World Is Together", and bid farewell to the campus that failed to return.

At the cloud graduation ceremony, Zhao Hongji, a graduate of the class of 2020 from the School of Information and Business Management, spoke as a graduate representative. He expressed his gratitude and reluctance to the school, and said that he will not forget his alma mater on the road of pursuing his dream, forge ahead and grow into an outstanding talent who can carry on the task as soon as possible.

Fu Chunsheng, the father of Fu Yiran who is a graduate of the class of 2020 from the School of Foreign Languages, spoke on behalf of the parents of the graduates. He told the graduates to love their country and put their patriotism and ambition to serve the country. The graduates should be virtuous, maintain the unity of knowledge and action, and action speaks louder than words. They also should be prudent, constantly introspect, improve ourselves, and work effectively to be a man worthy of the Times and his Alma mater.

Teacher Zhang Minghui from the School of Computer and Software spoke on behalf of the school teachers. She hopes that all graduates will carry forward our school learning style of " Think Creatively，Learn Actively，Apply Skillfully" as well as the spirit of the school motto of "To Learn and To Apply", pursue excellence with perseverance and use youth to write a colorful chapter worthy of the times and history.
