At 6 o’clock, on the morning of September 1st, with the first pick-up bus slowlymoving into the campus, work of welcoming the freshmen was officially opened.Crossing the red arch of welcome, freshmen and parents of grade 2019, carryingsuitcases, have stepped into the long-awaited university campus.

As newcomers entered the campus, they could see the theme backboard of"roll-up of the future" and the flying balloons and colored flags inthe wind everywhere. Detailed registration procedures were placed near theschool entrance and student apartment entrance to facilitate visits by newstudents and parents from afar. The large steps of the school library are alsoequipped with large LED screens to update the number of new students registeredin real time, which has won the unanimous praise of the freshmen and parents.Each of the secondary schools has its own characteristics on registration. Forexample, there are signature walls for freshmen and parents, photographs forfreshmen and parents, and hand-written, warm-hearted tips for freshmen.

This year, our school innovated the way of registering for admission.Under the leadership of the student work department/student development and servicedepartment of the party committee of the university, the teachers of the computerand software department and the network and information center jointly designedand developed the self-service greeting system.

In an interview with the Neusoft Administrivia News student reporters, PresidentWen Tao said he hoped the 2019 grade freshmen would "listen carefully,learn actively, and quickly integrate into the team, bring the passion and newdream of youth, and take root in this fertile land of DNUI." In order to provide more convenient services for freshmen and parents,many student organizations, such as the Student Union of the School League Committee,Voice of DNUI, the National Flag Guards, the Youth Volunteers Association, NeusoftAdministrivia News and nearly one thousand student volunteers of DNUI,participated in the reception of new students and parents with the pick-up busservice, guidance and problem-solving for freshmen and parents and news reports.

"Getting on, the dumplings, and getting off, the noodles" is atraditional custom in the northern China. In order to welcome the students fromafar, DNUI has prepared a unique "meeting ceremony" for everyfreshman: a bowl of warm noodles, with tomatoes, eggs, seafood and many otherflavors. Every freshman can get a ticket of "First Meeting, Please TakeMore Care" at the key reception office when he or she checks in. With thisticket, he or she can go to the designated canteen to get a free ticket of"Getting off noodles".

With the end of enrollment, the university life of the freshmen in grade2019 will soon enter a new stage. Meeting you in vast amount of people; becauseof "you", we are constantly making progress and innovation; thank youfor choosing the most regretless youth in DNUI in the next four years.
