On May 22, 2017, from the centripetal force competition organized by the Student Development and Service Department of Students Living Management Center, the Winner Dormitory Show and awards ceremony was held successfully in Room A1-306. Grade of 2016 student representatives, quality teachers of different departments, and related staff of Student Development and Service Department attended the event. Hu Lizhou, Director of the Party Committee Student Work Department and Student Development And Service Department, and Sun Dezhi, Deputy Director of Students Living Management Center, participated in this event and presented awards to the winners.

A new competition system was adopted to set four prizes “Straight-A Student, Got Talent, Unity First, Cozy and Tidy”. The purpose of the Centripetal Force Competition was to introduce excellent students' dormitories from four aspects: study, hobbies, dormitory relationship and dormitory affairs, highlighting the characteristics of the dormitory as well as showing a positive and progressive loving life of the dormitory’s atmosphere and good living atmosphere. From preliminary, semi-final and final, the final 12 dormitories won the prizes and participated in the show. In order to make the competition more entertaining, this year’s projects and parts are greatly improved over last year. The students were actively involved in the competition and the show process. The show included English movie dubbing, comedies, comic dialogues, poem recitals, songs and dances, singing talent show. All these original programs were designed by students in the same dorm and the material derived from the students’ real life and the content is close to the reality. The students enjoyed these wonderful performances which were full of continuous applause and cheers in the warm atmosphere. "Although the dormitory was built by our university, we have to make use of our own hands and mind to build the memories of life and university", a student from class 13A403 of the Japanese department said emotionally, who got the "clean and warm dormitory" title. The crowd burst into applause and it was widely recognized by the teachers and students.
