NII Students Met Vice-President of Dell China Face to Face

On May 28, the Senior Manager Forum for NII- “Dell Green IT Program on Campus” was held in Conference Hall 602 of Building A5 by NII Branding and Strategic Development Department, Committee of Youth League, and Admission Office and Career Guidance Center. Mr. Guo Xiangming, Vice-president of Dell China and General Manager of Government Education Department, Mr. Yang Baowei, Sales Director of Dell Government Education Department (North China), and Mr. Chen Rushan, Customer Manager of Dell Government Education Department (Dalian, Northeast China) were invited to the forum, which was hosted by Wu Jianning, Director of Branding and Strategic Development Department with the presence of Vice-President Bao Hongkui and other leaders and teachers of NII.
Vice-president Bao Hongkui delivered a warm welcome speech on behalf of all the students and faculty, expressing his sincere hope that the students could seize this excellent opportunity to actively communicate with the senior managers, to know Dell’s Philosophy and culture better, and to learn more from the inspiring lectures for their own career planning.
Mr. Guo Xiangming gave a brief introduction of Dell’s culture, values and its growth in China and emphasized the company’s philosophy of honoring commitments, encouraging creativity and supporting environmental protection. With over 6 thousand staff members and two large manufacturing factories, and an international service center in Dalian, Dell has undoubtedly provided big chances of employment for NII students of IT related majors. Moreover, Dell has been exerting great efforts in supporting charitable undertakings. The company had donated up to 5 million yuan for the quake-hit area of Sichuan Province by the 23rd of May this year, and the donation is still increasing with each passing day.
This activity reached its climax when the Q&A section began. The students present eagerly posed many questions concerning their study and employment and Mr. Guo expressed his gladness about the enthusiasm of the students. He said, Dell will continue its effort in building study centers in China. The corporate culture, challenging positions, career prospect, competitive salary, and superior location of Dell Company are five major attractions for young talents. He also mentioned that aggressive young people with sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for work are what the company is looking for. The communication process went quite smoothly, and the students were not willing to leave at the end of the meeting, hoping to get more advice from Mr. Guo.
After the meeting, Mr. Guo and other guests made a tour around the institute. The beauty of the campus and the enthusiasm of the students left Mr. Guo a deep impression. He expressed his hope for opportunities to carry out the customized-oriented talents training program in NII and thus to help the students fulfill their dreams in Dell.
