Guo Quan pointed out that with the "15th Five-Year Plan" now underway, the construction of Digital China is accelerating, and artificial intelligence is everywhere. Citing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s words, he said that AI is a young cause, and a cause for young people. He offered three expectations to the new students: First, discern the direction of the tide — do not drift with the current, but steer proactively, maintaining the resolve to keep improving amid technological iteration while honing critical thinking and creativity. Second, acquire the skill to cross the river — do not be armchair dreamers, but down-to-earth doers, stepping out of the classroom and into real projects to test what they have learned in real-world scenarios. Third, hold fast to the anchor of value — do not chase quick success, but become builders of the era with both competence and conviction, letting technology carry value and letting one's specialty respond to the call of the times.

Guo Quan encouraged the students to anchor the coordinates of their lives with the attitude of "diligence and erudition," to merge their personal endeavors into the tide of the nation with the original aspiration of "learning for application," and to continue the Neusoft story on the magnificent journey of national rejuvenation.

The 2025–2026 Academic Year Commendation Ceremony was then held on site. Vice President Li Yingqiu and Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Zhang Jin respectively read out the notices commending students who won the National (Provincial Government) Scholarship and the National Endeavor Scholarship, the decision commending students who won the Huatian Scholarship, the decision granting the Alps Alpine Group Scholarship and the Neusoft Ruixin Scholarship, the decision commending outstanding international students studying in China, and the decision commending outstanding groups and individuals of the university.
