From December 8th to 10th, National Finals and Finals of the 14th SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest were successfully held at Shanghai Foreign Studies University. After fierce competition, Lu Tianrong, a teacher from the School of Foreign Languages, won the first prize in the national finals with a good score ranking second in total. This is a new breakthrough for our school since winning the second prize in the national finals of this competition in 2014!
SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest was founded in 2010 and is the earliest national foreign language teaching contest held in China. It ranked first in the “Analysis Report on National Ordinary College Teacher Teaching Competition (2012-2020)” released by the Chinese Higher Education Association, and is held every three years in the vocational college group competition. The purpose of this competition is to deeply implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, help build a high-quality team of English teachers in vocational colleges, promote the high-quality development of vocational education in the new era, and promote the construction of a modern vocational education system that integrates vocational education, industry and education, and science and education.
Since its
launch in April this year, the competition has gone through more than
half a year of intense competition in various sub contest areas.
Finally, 26 participating teachers from various provinces, regions, and
cities across the country stood on the stage of the national
competition, competing for the highest prize in foreign language
teaching in Chinese universities through teaching, lecturing, and
answering questions from judges.
