On the morning of September 15, Bochuan Campus was even more beautiful and elegant with the refreshing wind and the warm sunshine in the autumn of Dalian, a coastal city. The campus is full of red archways, welcome banners, flags and floating balls, which is full of a warm and festive atmosphere. The Grade 2021 freshmen come from all over the country, injecting vitality into the brand-new Bochuan Campus and bringing infinite new strength to Dalian Neusoft University of Information.

At 6:20 in the morning, the volunteers of Dalian Neusoft University of Information were already in place at Dalian Railway Station, Dalian North Railway Station and Zhoushuizi Airport. Starting at 7 am, freshmen arrived at their long anticipated university campus.
Before registering, the freshmen have already reported their health status, travel tracks and other information through the "Smart Student Management System" independently developed by Neusoft Education. Freshmen use the system to complete information filling, self-payment, insurance purchase, and selection of dormitory beds. After they arrive on campus, they can directly go to the living area to scan their ID card to complete the registration. After the second nucleic acid test, they can receive the key to enter the dormitory. The entire registration process can be completed in less than 10 seconds, which is very convenient and efficient.
Wen Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our university, Guo Quan, Executive Vice President, Ren Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of our university, and Chen Pingping, Chief Financial Officer of our university, inspected the freshmen welcome work in dormitories, canteens and register desks, and had a detailed understanding of the arrangement of epidemic prevention and control, the real-time number of new students enrolled, and the progress of welcome work. In order to welcome the 2021 freshmen from afar, every schools conducted a thorough inspection of their dormitories and prepared many heart-warming gifts before registering. For example, School of Information and Business Management posted leaflets of epidemic prevention and control in each dormitory, and the Higher Vocational and Technical College prepared well-designed bookmarks and folders with the theme of "Love in Neusoft and Higher Vocational Colleges" for freshmen.
In order to help the freshmen to complete the registration process, more than 1,300 student volunteers participated in the welcome work. Some of them are responsible for picking up freshmen from stations and airports, some for safety protection at the main gate, some for the guidance of the shuttle bus on campus, some for welcoming freshmen from various schools at the register desks, and some help freshmen carry luggage and guide directions. From entering the campus to the end of registration, enthusiastic volunteers can be seen everywhere on campus. They provide a full range of heart-warming services to freshmen.
For students who come to register by car and those who do not pay in advance in the system, they can go to Building E9 to complete relevant procedures. The university sets up a shuttle bus to escort students to the dormitory area, and freshmen can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Bochuan campus from the bus. It takes less than 5 minutes for freshmen to wait for the shuttle bus.
Intimate arrangement made parents more reassured.
According to the epidemic prevention and control requirements, parents of freshman are not allowed to enter the campus. Taking the parents' concerns about their children into account and their expectation of the university campus, the university arranged a special bus to take them to Dalian Railway Station. The route passes the main campus of Dalian Neusoft University of Information and the main scenic spots of Dalian such as Heishi Reef, Xinghai Park and Xinghai Square. Student volunteers accompanied the parents to introduce scenic spots patiently and carefully.
The university also prepared a special gift for welcoming the freshmen. According to the northeastern custom, if you are welcomed by eating noodles, you will have a good luck. So the freshmen following the university’s official WeChat account can register to receive tickets of a share of steamed buns and noodle at the designated window in the canteen of the Bochuan campus. It is worth mentioning that the small program for receiving tickets is independently developed by the students and is full of strong IT features. It is also a manifestation of the university motto of "To Learn and To Apply".
