Recently, the first 8K image produced by the Department of Film Photography and Production of School of Digital Arts and Design from our school has appeared.
The production of 8K image is an experimental attempt by adopting post synthesis and 3D animation technology without relying on 8K shooting equipment. Wang Dong, a film and television professional, led the team, set up a technical research team, and completed it by taking advantage of the spare time. The 2-minute 8K super clear image takes the core idea of film and television as the theme, and the picture is designed in the realistic style of the film, focusing on the control of the image quality and technical standards, which takes 2 months to complete.
In technology, the virtual environment of this film is mainly realized by Cinema 4D to call the resource base, a popular 3D design tool in the industry. The animation rhythm is realized by camera motion and text breaking animation. Octane 4.0, the industry-leading GPU renderer, is used to render and modulate color. The first rendering is output into a JPG sequence, and then converted to a mov file encoded by the process HQ, with a file volume of 29G. Then, the clip is made, and the sound effect is added, and the final output is the 8K video encoded by H265, and the file size is 500M.
In the process of making this image, there are also various difficulties and challenges. When the film is successfully output, it also means that all attempts have become valuable experience.
