On March 23, the vaccination was carried out in the school gymnasium. In accordance with the principle of "informed, agreeable and voluntary" vaccination, the school provided vaccination services to students and teachers who are eligible for vaccination. It is expected that the vaccination will last until March 25, covering more than 9,800 students and teachers.
The university's Logistics Management Department, the Student Work Department of the Party Committee, the Security Department, the Network and Information Center, the University Youth League Committee and other relevant departments cooperated fully, formulated a detailed and thorough vaccination work plan, made site planning and related preparations in advance, and organized teachers and students for vaccination in an orderly manner. The gymnasium was reasonably planned, with clear signs and independent space in each area. The entrance was a pre-screening triage area and a waiting area, where medical personnel measured and recorded body temperature, asked detailed questions and ensured that students and teachers were "informed, agreeable and voluntary" before entering the vaccination area. Only after registration and disinfection can you leave the vaccination site. The site also has an emergency disposal area, which is well prepared for risky situations. The vaccination was also supported by the Seventh People's Hospital of Dalian and the Fifth People's Hospital of Dalian. Many of our students and faculty volunteers also put on protective clothing and actively participated in the services. The vaccination site was safe, and the vaccination work is efficient and orderly.
"The whole process was very convenient and quick for our students who were to be vaccinated. But behind it is the selfless dedication of those volunteers, teachers, medical staff and schools. With them, we can get vaccinated so easily. I feel more grateful to our country for the free vaccination for all, and I am proud of my country! This vaccination showed me once again the selfless spirit of DNUI’s students and the kindness and responsibility of the teachers. I hope each of us can pass on this spirit, this love, to everyone around us!" said Yang Wenlong of the School of Software.
It is the duty and responsibility of every citizen to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and it is the most effective means to prevent infection and protect the health of all people in the normal epidemic prevention and control. We hope that all DNUI’s students and teachers will actively participate in the vaccination period to protect themselves while protecting their families and people around them, and jointly build a protective screen to prevent COVID-19.
