On Oct. 17, the 2020 Liaoning Province College Student Radio Direction Contest sponsored by Liaoning Provincial Department of Education and hosted by Dalian University was held in Jinpu New District, Dalian City. The three teams finally won one first prize, one second prize and one third prize in Liaoning Province.

Radio Direction Finding Competition is a provincial A class professional discipline competition sponsored by Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, which has set up 8 projects in two bands of 3.5MHz and 144MHz for male and female categories. Radio direction finding is an event that integrates science and technology and national defense education into one, requiring the contestants to have theoretical knowledge of radio propagation, direction finding technology, military topography and so on, while holding a direction finding machine to find the source of radio waves according to Morse code, which is an organic integration of professional knowledge and extracurricular practice.

The contestants also included seven students from the class of 2020 of Electronic Information Engineering, who represented the school in the discipline competition for the first time.
