On the afternoon of September 28, on the occasion of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China, DNUI held the opening ceremony of 2019 freshmen and the commendation conference of 2018-2019 academic year. Professor Wen Tao, Secretary of the Party committee and President of the University, Professor Ren Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee, and Professor Chao Yujun, CFO attended the conference. Leaders, teachers and alumni representatives of all colleges and departments of the University and more than 4600 new students from all over the country, as well as more than 90 international students from Russia, South Korea, Japan and other countries gathered in the third phase stadium.

The 2018-2019 academic year commendation conference was also held on site to encourage and commend excellent Neusoft students with model strength. The conference commended the advanced collective, advanced individual, excellent foreign students and the students who won the Neusoft holding scholarship and Huatian scholarship in 2018-2019 academic year.

Zhang Haobo, a 2019 student majoring in intelligent science and technology from the school of intelligent and electronic engineering, made a speech as a new student representative. He revealed the pride of becoming a Neusoft student in the lines, and expressed his vision and expectation for a better life in the university with passionate language.

Li Hanjia, a graduate of Class 2015 majoring in Computer Science and Technology of School of Computer and Software, as a representative of alumni, made a wonderful exchange of experience to all freshmen. He reviewed his growth as a five-year continuous entrepreneur, and told his schoolmates that there was no shortcut in the process of pursuing dreams. One should dare to look up to the stars and have dreams, and at the same time, abandon fantasy and be down-to-earth.

As a teacher representative, Mr. Zhou Yijia, from Department of Science of Big Data in School of Computer and Software, has placed a cordial entrustment to all the new students.
