Hosted by the Ideological andPolitical Education Office of Liaoning Provincial Department of Education andthe College Mental Health Education Research Association of Liaoning Province,the 2nd Liaoning Provincial Campus Psychological Scenario Final took place atShenyang University of Technology on June 9, 2018. The psychological Scenario Don't Just Leave the Black Dog with Mepresented by DNUI won the second prize.
In order to improve thecontestants' knowledge of psychological drama, DNUI Mental Health EducationCenter had invited professionals to give trainings for the participating teamsand their instructors. During the competition, all departments had devotedthemselves to the creation and recommendation of works. Consequently, a totalof 19 excellent scripts had been submitted from nine departments as well asSchool of Vocational Education and School of Continuing Education. Focusing onthe psychological problems among contemporary college students, the entries probedinto relevant topics such as inferiority, dreams, friendship, and campus loans.Teachers from the Student Development and Service Department reviewed thescripts and proposed amendments. The school-level selection was presented inthe form of a video submission. After the review by the judging panel, Don't Just Leave the Black Dog with Meby Department of Computer Science and Technology, and Lily and the Emotion Squad by Department of English won the firstprize. Hi, You by School ofVocational Education, Say No to IllegalCampus Loans by Department of Japanese, NEWLIFE by Department of InformationManagement, and Loans, Please Leave MeAlone by Department of Digital Arts won the second prize. Among them, Don't Just Leave the Black Dog with Meby Department of Computer Science and Technology was selected for the LiaoningProvincial rematch.
During the Liaoning Provincialrematch, teachers from DNUI Mental Health Education Center instructed studentsto innovate in script design. Under the instruction of the teachers, ourstudents rehearsed over and over again, recorded videos, and conductedpost-production. As a result of their joint efforts, DNUI won the second prizeamong the 12 teams with the psychological drama based on the theme “Caring forDepression Students”, and was selected for the Liaoning Provincial Final.
