Our school has been approved among the first batch of “Emerging Engineering Education” research and practice projects by the Ministry of Education.

A few days ago, the generaloffice of the Ministry of Education issued “the Notice on the Publication ofthe First ‘Emerging Engineering Education’ Research and Practice Project”(Document of Higher Education〔2018〕 No.4). Our school’s project “the research on constructionand manufacturing of cross integration engineering practice education systemand practice platform for the field of intelligent manufacturing” has beenapproved by the Ministry of education among the first batch of "EmergingEngineering Education" program of research and practice.

In recent years, DNUI has focusedon regional economic development and industrial transformation and upgrading,constantly optimizing the subject structure, adding Internet of thingsengineering, intelligent science and technology, microelectronic science andengineering, integrated circuit design and integration system, data science andlarge data technology and other engineering related majors, and deepening theintegration of production and education, the reform of innovation andentrepreneurship education, optimizing the training program and mode of talenttraining, improving the engineering practice environment and platform, anddynamically updating the teaching content with the "five new things"(new theories, new technologies, new tools, new products and new applications)to promote the level of connotation of professional construction, which hasgained a wide range of attention and recognition in all the social circles.

The "Emerging EngineeringEducation" research and practice project granted to our university will bebased on the cross integration and upgrading our school’s existing IT relatedspecialties, facing the development of the regional economy, focusing on thetransformation and upgrading of the intelligent manufacturing industry,adhering to practice mode of the combination of in-class practice and theextracurricular practice, the combination of the practical training in schooland the practice outside of school, the combination of engineering practice andinnovation and entrepreneurship to establish the four-in-one engineeringpractice education system, which consists of practical education target system,practical education content system, practical education management system andpractical education guarantee system, which is constructed to strengthen thestudents' training of engineering practice ability and innovation ability for"new engineering", at the same time, studying and formulating qualitystandards and evaluation tools for the training of "new engineering",improving the management and evaluation mechanism of "Emerging EngineeringEducation" personnel training in the field of intelligent manufacturing.
