On September 24, the annual association carnival opened at the crossroads of East Gate of DNUI and more than 90 associations put on a wonderful show. This year, English Department, Japanese Department and Russian Department of DNUI participated in the first International Cultural Festival to join, which offered the lively scene of "Hundred-Regiment Campaign" a more international atmosphere.

At 7 o'clock in the morning, the crossroad of the campus was bustling with noise and excitement. Various associations had been waiting for a long time for the show and recruitment. Roller skating club with wonderful technical skills, Billiards club with Kumamon, electric self-balancing scooter with naughty Pikachu. All associations presented their specialties. Philosophy Association, Rubik's Cube Association, and Comic Dialogue Association were 14 newly established associations this year. They made many efforts for their debut. Liu Yufeng, President of Comic Dialogue Association, said: "I hope more students can understand the traditional culture through comic dialogue. The theater we are preparing for are provided for the performances regularly. There are also professional teachers who can provide training for us. I look forward to the students who are interested in it." The earlier established associations also presented their strengths. The Youth Volunteers Association will set up a branch this year to form voluntary service teams and will further expand its scale. In front of the stairs of the building A5 library, wonderful programs were displayed on the association show stage: the pop music of the college students’ art troupe and COSPLAY of the ACG association attracted many teachers and students to stop by.

Nearly 30 exhibition booths of the three major foreign language departments were filled with heated atmosphere: The English Department’s students who were dressed up in Halloween vampire, and British nobility and knights showed up on campus. The HIP-HOP show feasted for the eyes and all the guests welcomed delicious hamburgers and salads. In the Japanese exhibition booths, the foreign teacher made rice with dried meat floss, traditional sushi, Taiyaki and Oden. Students enjoyed Japanese food. In the Russian culture exhibition booth, Hoche Roma (Хохлома) decorative painting, Dmkovo toys, Russian matryoshka were very attractive. Classmates were dressed in Russian costumes and beauty girls wore their hair in a neat bun with facial paintings. Red cabbage soup, mashed potato meatballs made people’s mouths watering.

Zhang Ran, a freshman majoring in Visual Communication in Department of Digital Arts, said excitedly, "Our school's cultural activities are very colorful. I feel very excited to have so many national cultures on campus.”

During the period, Ren Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of DNUI, came to interact with classmates from various associations and took a group photo with them. Li Nan, Secretary of Communist Youth League of DNUI, said, "This year, the associations’ carnival is combined with the international cultural festival. The atmosphere of the event is very warm and the students are very enthusiastic. I hope that students will enrich their university life and enhance their comprehensive abilities in their spare time by participating in activities organized by the associations."
