With warm sunshine and blue sky, the castle-like campus of DNUI was decorated with colorful flags and welcoming banners on August 26th, which foiled the joyful atmosphere. Freshmen of Grade 2017 came from all over the nation and started the journey of dream in DNUI.

The theme board saying "You come, we define your future" stood at the beginning of library steps and it welcomed the new students and their parents from far off. Some inspiring words could be seen on this board as well, such "The day you arrive here is so great.", "Your student's identity card of DNUI is your passport in school", "Your efforts at your twentieth will be buried in your future life", "You lose because you just ask for passing the exams", "The speed you grow up needs to be faster than the speed your parents age", which served as the best wishes to all new arrivals.

Every department elaborately designed its check-in place, foiling a cozy atmosphere, while the work efficiency was also ensured. The computer science and technology department and the software engineering department set up signature board of dream. A book who are you learning for with the wishes of heads of the former department will be sent to students. The information management department provided detailed indicator diagram for students' registration. The business department set up the wish boards of new students and teachers. The electronic engineering department held the activity named Discover DNUI with great enthusiasm and made the new students familiar with the campus by playing games. The digital arts departments posted the QR codes of its quality teachers facilitating students' contacts with them. The English department, the Japanese department and the Russian department decorated their places with cozy and distinctive features. The overseas students from Russia also joined in the registration process, which made the freshmen and their parents feel the international atmosphere. Staff from Vocational College wore uniforms and received students and parents with great enthusiasm. The computer and technology department, the English department, the Japanese department and the Russian department set up party member service station in which student party members played an active role in serving freshmen and their parents.

Wen Tao, President of DNUI and Ren Hao, Vice Secretary of Party Committee inspected the registration work of new arrival. President Wen was acquainted with the registration work from different aspects including work processes of different departments, services of student volunteers, etc. He also did some on-site communication with working staffs from different departments and student volunteers. President Wen chatted with the new students kindly and encouraged them to study hard.

For the sake of doing the freshmen registration work well, some student organizations such as the student union, the voice of DNUI, national flag guards, News Administrivia of DNUI and nearly 1000 students participated in this work. All work was in good order and most freshmen finished their registration work till the noon.

It is a day that all new students of 2017 should memorize. Just as the president Wen put “I hope you all remember today, when we recall it four years later, hopefully we will not regret for wasting my time in school and wish you all have a substantial and fruitful school life."
