Strategic Agreement Signed Between DNUI and PWC

On June 13, a signing ceremony was held at the new site of SOVO between DNUI and Pricewaterhousecoopers (PWC), one of the Four Leading Accounting Firms that enjoy world-wide fame, kick-starting strategic cooperation between the two parties.

Deng Shan, Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of DNUI and Wang Wei, Managing Partner of Service Outsourcing and TMT of PWC, delivered speeches. Deng stressed the importance of mass innovation and entrepreneurship as the powerhouse of growth as well as an impetus to strengthening the state at large. “The local ambiance for entrepreneurship and attractiveness for talented people will be enhanced by such recent events as China Overseas Chinese Scholars Summit and Summer Davos Summit. As a forerunner of innovation and entrepreneurship on the non-governmental front, we have been committed to providing platforms for this enterprise. Today we join hands with PWC, a top-notch international accounting firm, to create an integrated service and consultation platform. That will boost the ‘Initial Entrepreneurship’ endeavors of DNUI and other local like-minded institutions of higher learning,” said Deng.

Following their speeches, the two sides negotiated a strategic agreement on guidance and service of innovation and entrepreneurship, professional training and other aspects. After the ceremony, Wang Wei, Wang Yang, a senior lawyer and Sun Xi, Manager of tax and business consulting, gave three lectures on finance and taxation of start-ups, stock rights incentives and the framework of employee stock ownership. The three-hour seminar provided professional and comprehensive expertise on laws of finance and taxation for the start-up teams of DNUI.

An agreement was officially signed between DNUI and PWC.

In the afternoon, Wang Wei gave guidance to five newly-founded businesses in a face-to-face manner, shedding light on the present confusion of DNUI students and supplying advice on their future management of finance and taxation.
