2017 Commencement of DNUI: Best Wishes for the School Leavers

On the morning of June 16, the 2017 commencement of DNUI was held in the Lecture Hall (Room 309) of A2 Building. Professor Wen Tao, President and Secretary of the Party Committee of DNUI, Professor Guo Quan, Vice president, Professor Ren Hao, Deputy Secretary of DNUI Party Committee, Chao Yujun, Finance Director, Professor Sun Xiaoling from Electronic Engineering, and Professor Ma Jun from Scientific Researches were present at the event. Faculties from all departments, representatives of students’ families and representatives of the 2017 graduates witnessed the exciting and unforgettable occasion. Wang Weikun, Dean of the President’s Office presided over the ceremony.

“Farewell, Neusoft! We are forging ahead. Farewell, Neusoft. We will stay abreast with the sky.” The music video of Stay Abreast with the Sky, which was originally composed by DNUI teachers and students and brimming with the best wishes from the university and the teachers, presented the audience with every valuable moment of campus life of the would-be graduates.

Then began the 2017 commencement ceremony. President Wen conferred degrees to representatives of the would-be graduates, other leaders of the school awarding diplomas. The leaders also awarded certificates for the provincial-level, municipal-level and university-level titles.

Dong Yihan, a student representative from Information Management Department, remembered the details of her university life and expressing her love for the school in her speech. “My alma mater will always show me the way ahead. We will engage in study as a life-long cause. And like the dripping water wearing through the stone, we will forge ahead with unswerving patience and resolution.”

Ren Kun, who came from the Business Management Department and majored in marketing. His mother delivered her congratulations to the students who had completed their studies and thanks to the university and teachers who had been giving their children loving care and careful instructions. She told the students that they should keep their alma mater and dear teachers in mind and devote themselves to their future jobs with a resolute mind.

Teacher representative Chu Na from the Computer Science and Technology Department reviewed her experience of growing together with the students as an instructor. She also told her students to keep their aims in mind, always learn and be grateful to all who had helped them.

In delivering his parting words to the leaving students, President Wen Tao said that they had witnessed, during the past four years, the steady development of DNUI in building a characteristic and high-caliber institution of higher learning oriented towards entrepreneurship and application of technology. Meanwhile, the university had also seen the efforts made by the students for academic progress and personal growth. He hoped that they could work even harder in the future, with a grateful heart, for a better life and a more successful career. He also hoped that they could carry on the school motto of “Learn and Apply”, keeping creative for everything they did. “As long as the students kept pursuing their dreams, the university would support them as always”, promised the president.
