On March 9, China Computer Federation (CCF) Vocational Education Development Committee was established in Beijing. The first session of the leading bodies and standing committee of the CCF Vocational Education Development Committee was chosen through democratic election on the inaugural meeting. Professor Wen Tao, our university president was elected chairman of the committee, and the associate professor Dong Benqing was elected Secretary-General by the election with a diference.

CCF is the largest and most authoritative academic community in China's computer field, which made outstanding contributions to the academic progress and application of technological achievements of China's computer and related fields with its 55 years’ history. To promote the development of China's IT vocational education, CCF hopes to unite and organize the professionals of computer and related fields to build professional construction and resource sharing platform for the computer professional.

Mr. Wen Tao pointed out at the meeting: "CCF Vocational Education Development Committee will go deep into the front line of universities as well as enterprises, listening to the voice of vocational education, understanding the practical problems and needs of vocational education, and better integrating CCF resources to help IT Vocational education workers, universities and enterprises to break through the bottleneck and solve the problem. In the start-up period of Vocational Education Development Committee, we must have entrepreneurial awareness and spirit, and play the role of the platform to create authoritative expert advisory service platform, university - enterprise exchanges and cooperation platform, resources co-construction and sharing platform, teachers’ and students’ capacity improvement platform in the field of IT professional education.”
