To celebrate the heroic martyrs, carry forward the national spirit, strengthen patriotism and national defense education awareness, on April 4 Ching Ming Festival, the students of News Agency of Dalian Neusoft Institute of Information carried out "Ching Ming Festival martyrs" activities in the Dalian Hero Memorial Park.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the students came to the park entrance. Here, the Five-Star Red Flag is flapping in the wind and the distant mountain "Blood and Fire" Sculpture is particularly majestic, surrounded by green and cypress pavilions. In fete area stood a total of 58 revolutionary pioneer stone and bronze, the students first stood in silent tribute and then offered a white chrysanthemum to show their admiration and forgetting affection to Lei Feng, Dong Cunrui, Liu Hulan, Ye Ting, Fu Jingyang and many other revolutionary martyrs.

In the most inside of fete area, there is one side of the embossed wall depicts the period of 110 years of history, ranging from the Opium War to the establish of the new China. It is an artistic approach to vividly show the Chinese people’s indomitable and undaunted revolutionary spirit to the students.

Subsequently, the students came to the park's iconic sculpture "Blood and Fire". This is a sculpture like butterfly and flower with the color blending of blood and fire and the most central hollow is inlaid the four peace dove, which means peace sublimating in the explosion and blood of the war and the people experencing the baptism of blood and fire are longing for peache and freedom. This magnificent sculpture deeply shocked every student.

After experencing " the baptism of blood and fire ", the students ended their activities of paying respect to the dead and bid farewell to the Dalian Hero Memorial Park with excitement and reverence. Students said that they had given a great shock and encourgement by paying respect to the martyrs and cherishing the martyrs and that period of history. The red spirit is worthy of being bore in our minds and will always inspire us to move forward, and meanwhile we have to pass on the history and this kind of spirit through generations. Pay tribute to the people hero! "Our quiet and stable today is tomorrow lit by their life ", which will be guarded and inherited from generation to generation. The martyrs have gone, but their spirit is immortal. The spirit of martyr will always shine on our way!
