Delegation of Pacific National University from Russia Visited DNUI

Sergey N. Ivanchenko, the president of Pacific National University and his party visited DNUI on Oct. 26th. Wen Tao, President of DNUI, and Yang Lu, Director of the College of International Education, received the delegation and the two parties had an effective talk on several aspects including establishing overseas innovative education centers in both universities, exchange of teachers and students, communication and training of entrepreneurs, export of MOOCs, development of science and technology, cross-border e-business, cooperation of international contests, etc.. After the talk, the two presidents signed a series of strategic cooperation documents such as Cooperation Agreements, Contract and Rules for Chinese and Russian Innovative Education Centers, and Memorandum.

During the visit, the delegation members also observed Dalian Neusoft Science and Technology Development Co. Ltd. and the General Manager Zhang Yongqiang introduced to the Russian Guests about the MOOCs products, the teaching management system and DNUI’s research and development capability. President Ivanchenko commented highly on DNUI’s achievements in the fields of teaching and research & development of IT application and hoped that the two universities can cooperate and benefit one another in these fields

Pacific National University is located in Khabarovsk, Russia. The university was founded in 1858 and was ranked before the 70th among nearly 1,000 state universities in Russia. Pacific National University had established cooperation with many universities such as Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Technology, Northeastern University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian University of Foreign Languages as early as 1991. It has eight schools and three departments (Institute of Architecture, School of Informational Technologies, School of Transportation, Fareast School of Automobile and Road, School of Forestry Manufacturing, School of Economics and Management, School of Law, International Department, etc.) , 18,000 students and 800 teachers.
