Dr. Thomas.C.Peng, Vice President of George Fox University (America), and His Team visited DNUI

On November 8th , Dr. Thomas.C.Peng, vice President of George Fox University(GFU)and Annette Nemetz, Dean of MBA Project of GFU, paid a friendly visit to our university. Yang Lu, our President of Interfacial Education School, Li Haoyuan and Sun Qi, Director and deputy Director of Department of Business Administration,and Cheng Yanpeng, Director of Business Development Department of International Education School, were responsible for receiving the visiting guests.

Doctor Peng and Dean Annette firstly visited the International Education School, and they communicated with Director Li Haoyuan on the cooperation of MBA project between the two universities. In the meeting, Dean Annette gave a detailed introduction to the “3+1+1” MBA course of George Fox University, and Director Li Haoyuan showed that our university would strongly support the propaganda and promotion of MBA project in the Department of Business Administration.

As cooperation universities, George Fox University would fund two teachers of DNUI to further their education in its school. After the meeting, Doctor Peng and Dean Annette had a communication and interview to the two teachers who were selected to visit George Fox University.

Dean Annette also delivered a lecture “American Business Management and MBA Education” for more than one hundred faculty and students from the Department of Business Management at 3:30 p.m. that day. Dean Annette graduated from Stanford University (America), with more than twenty years of working experience as senior executive at American well-established enterprises, and now he was a well experienced export in the field of Business Management. After the lecture, students asked a number of questions to Dean Annette concerning multi-aspects in America, including study, life, employment, etc. The brilliant lecture from Dean Annette received warm welcome from students and also greatly stirred up their desire to further their study in America.

In the fall semester of 2016, four students in total from DNUI had successfully attended their Bachelor and Master project courses in George Fox University, and some of them also achieved decent scholarships. George Fox University was located in Portland , Oregon , U.S.A, and it was a well-known private university in US west coast,where a large number of internationally famous companies and enterprises gathered. The unique geographical advantage provided their students with amazing practical opportunities, and the University’s Humanities and Social Studies were welcomed deeply by Chinese students.
