Sponsored by the Joint Association of Korean Culture and Asian Pioneer Design Development Committee, supported and guided by the municipal government of Busan, South Korea, the opening ceremony of “BIEAF 2016 14th” and the award-presentation ceremony of the International Design Competition were held on the evening of October 28th, 2016 in the Cultural Museum of Nakdong River in the South Korean city of Pusan. The work “ MYSELF”, by Zou Baijing, an art teacher in our school won the bronze medal in the international design team of posters. Her work was also collected and published in the art collection of “BIEAF 2016 14th”, along with the work by Zhao Luning, an art teacher from the educational management team of digital arts in visual communication of our school, and the work by Luan Peng, a student from the major of visual communication in our school.

Since July of 2000, BIEAF has been held in Busan, South Korea successively for the 15th time, in which a sum of about 5000 artists of various types from 27 countries has participated with their works, performance or has their academic ideas exchanged. The design theme for 2016 was “design in life”. The organizing committee selected about 200 works which were displayed in the Cultural Museum of Nakdong River in the South Korean city of Pusan during October 28th to November 11th. From the shortlist of the 200 works, the gold medal, the silver medal, the bronze medal, the special prize and the excellence prize were decided on through concealed evaluation by experts from different countries.
