Recently, the Ministry of Education published the list of the first group of national demonstrative universities for deepening the innovative and entrepreneurial educational reform and DNUI was selected successfully. This is another important honor for DNUI after winning the title of Co-working Space and the title of Fifty Universities of the Country for Typical Experience of University Innovation and Entrepreneurship by the Torch Center of Ministry of Science and Technology.  

DNUI has started the exploration and practice of the innovative and entrepreneurial education since its foundation in 2000. It established the Student Office & Venture Office (abbreviated as SOVO) according to the real environment of IT enterprises and registered this trademark from State Administration for Industry and Commerce to explore the integration of innovative and entrepreneurial education to the whole process of talent cultivation. 

DNUI constructed the TOPCARES-CDIO three-level ability index system, implemented the integrated talent cultivation plan containing professional education, innovative and entrepreneurial education, and education for all-round development, established the “universal + professional + operational ” three-in-one course system, put them into specific courses, projects, seminars, and innovative and entrepreneurial practices, set up the gradual cultivation and spiral escalation SOVO practice platform of “innovative and entrepreneurial universal education + innovative and entrepreneurial project practice + virtual company operation + entrepreneurial results incubation + resources and policy support”. DNUI also established Coo-Venture cloud platform of innovative and entrepreneurial education and rich on-line teaching resources, as well as the innovative and entrepreneurial management and operation system combining the government, the university and the enterprise and linking different departments of the university, to ensure completely the smooth development of innovative and entrepreneurial education.

In recent years, DNUI has shown more and more results in the exploration of innovative and entrepreneurial education and has been chosen as one of the Fifty Universities of the Country for Typical Experience of University Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Co-working Space by the Torch Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, Liaoning Provincial Demonstrative University for Entrepreneurial Education, one of the First Group of Demonstrative Bases for College Students’ Entrepreneurial Incubation in Liaoning Province, one of the First Group of Practice Bases for College Students’ Innovative and Entrepreneurial Education, and 2016 Selection and Cultivation Bases for College Students’ Entrepreneurial Projects in Liao Province.
