On the afternoon of September 13, the autumn wind gently blew the the leaves with rustling, white clouds floating in the sky. The Seventh "Yida Voice" Dalian Summer International Arts Festival - Dalian Symphony Orchestra performed a concert in Neusoft campus. Mr. Bao Hongkui, Vice President of Yida Group Co., Ltd and Mr. Ren Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, were present on the site and enjoyed this grand symphony concert together with more than 300 teachers and students.

The concert was directed by Mr. Du Ming, Artistic Director of Dalian City International Symphony Orchestra, Vice President of Dalian Musicians Association, and visiting professor of Dalian University. The orchestra brought the teachers and students the Fifth Symphony, Ninth Symphony and other world famous pieces of music. At the same time, this year is the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), so the Orchestra also played Ten Miles with Red Army, Song of Guerrilla, The Red Army's Brother Came Back and other red songs, teachers and students re-experiencing that period of years in the music. Listening to the high-spirited or melodious performance with fresh grass flavor on the campus, the audience was intoxicated with the music. After the end of each performance, the audience warmly applauded to express their appreciation and affection to the Orchestra.

This is the second time that the band entered the Neusoft campus. "This enthusiastic live atmosphere of this year is the same with that of last year. As long as the audience likes to listen, we have the passion to play!" the band founder Mr. Du Ming said. Mr. Du Ming also suggested that college students enjoy the symphony more in their spare time, enhancing their aesthetic experience.

"The school will organize more similar activities, so that students could not only enrich their campus life but also feel the cultural and artistic charm in the music.” Deputy Secretary Ren Hao said.

The symphony concert is organized by the Youth League Committee of University, the Department of Logistics Management, the Ministry of Security and other departments, and student volunteers from the Students' Union and the National Flag Guard provide services at the scene.

It is reported that the "Yida Voice" Dalian International Summer Arts Festival is co-sponsored by the CPC Dalian Municipal Committee Propaganda Department, Dalian Municipal Culture, Radio, Film and Television Bureau, Yida Group. The Dalian City International Symphony Orchestra, which is performing in our school tonight, was established in May 2009 and has successfully collaborated with artists such as Lang Lang, Ning Feng, Gérard Ribeiro and Teng Yazi for many times.
