Five-second session of Northeastern University alumni association and forum of revitalization of Northeast China were held in A2-309 lecture hall of DNUI on the morning of October 23th. Sun Jiaxue, Former Party Secretary of Northeastern University and the Vice President of the school board, Gan Yong, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Honorary Chairman of Northeastern University Alumni Association, Lu Zhaoxia, Senior Vice President of Neusoft Group as well as alumnus representative from all over the nation attended this session. As the vice chairman of the branch of Northeastern University Alumni Association in Dalian, also President of DNUI, Wen Tao attended this session and delivered a welcome speech to participants on behalf of teachers and students of DNUI.

President Wen Tao said Northeastern University bred Neusoft Group. Through cooperation, Neusoft Group established DNUI by combining Northeastern University's educational advantage with Neusoft's IT industrial advantage, which resulted in an ecological chain of talents featuring deep integration of industry, education and research as well as cooperative cultivation. With the great support and care of Northeastern University, DNUI achieved great-leap-forward development, which featured four stages involving higher vocational college, network undergraduate college, independent college and general undergraduate college during the following 16 years. Meanwhile, DNUI made remarkable progresses in talent cultivation, major construction, innovation and entrepreneurship and integration of industry and education, which earned wide social recognition. In the future, DNUI will adhere to Northeastern University's fine tradition and make a great effort to build a characteristic, high-level and entrepreneurial university of applied sciences.

On the following forum of revitalization of Northeast China, Gan Yong, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Honorary Chairman of Northeastern University Alumni Association, gave a report on digitalization, network, intellectualization and industrial model of manufacturing industry. Lu Zhaoxia, Senior Vice President of Neusoft Group, gave a report on innovative practice of Neusoft. As outstanding alumnus, Yu Songling, Chairman of Oriental Cambridge Education Group, Liu Yingkui, President of Beijing SINOWEL Fortune Consultation and Management Limited Company gave reports. At the end of the report, Sun Jiaxue, Former Party Secretary of Northeastern University and Vice President of the school board delivered a concluding speech. The session came to an end in the school song of Northeastern University.
