The Touching Opening of the 3rd DNUI Family Carnival

The 3rd DNUI Family Carnival announced its beginning at 9.00 a.m. of May 28th. More than 160 families gathered on campuscelebrating the upcoming Children’s Day.

The carnival attracted DNUIers’ start-up projects. Underthe influence of innovative and entrepreneurial atmosphere of DNUI, Qu Ning,now a junior in Department of Digital Arts, started a creative fine artstraining program for children called “Happy Babies in Time” one year ago. Shebrought her project to the carnival and instructed children to complete a greatmany vivid and creative painting. By doing so, she presented a special thanks-givinggift to DNUI. It was also worth mentioning that the founder of ShangtianFarming, Tang Xinxin, also a graduate of 2016, brought sweetness to childrenwith her entrepreneurship fruits. 

At the carnival, students from English Department,Japanese Department and Russian Department built the World Culture ExperienceZone, which included activities such as the intellectual and intriguing Englishknowledge Q&A, Wheel of Happiness; Paper Sumo Match Play of Japanesecharacteristics; pretty hair styles and face paintings for children fromRussian students; tasty sushi and amazing clown show. These “Second Generationof Neusoft” children were surrounded by dense international cultural atmospherehere on this day.

In order to make these children be more involved in thisinnovative and entrepreneurial atmosphere, an “exchange” area was set up forthem to bring belongings to the carnival for exchange or trade. Quite a fewchildren gained a lot and sent their parents small gifts using the first amountof money they had earned.

The carnival was hosted by DNUI Labor Union, PublicityDepartment and Branding and Strategic Development Department, and wasco-organized by English Department, Japanese Department, Russian Department,Department of Digital Arts, Administrivia News Press and Shimmer NetworkStudio. Other activities to be mentioned included “Search for Love ConfessionNote”, “I Love DNUI” original graffiti, “A Moment in Childhood” photos. Joy andlaughter from faculty members and their children filled the campus with love.On this bright early summer day, teachers and students, parents and childrengot together in this enchanting campus. With small families joining the bigfamily of DNUI, the whole campus was overwhelmed with delightful and touchingmovements. The atmosphere of internationalization, innovation andentrepreneurship not merely affected these children, but also promoted the relationshipbetween teachers and students. DNUI was lit up by the carnival!
