2016 Graduation Ceremony for Russian Students Held in Our University

On June 3rd, graduation ceremony for Russianstudents of 2013 from School of International Education was solemnly held inA9-217. Guests attending the ceremony included Yang Lu, Dean of School ofInternational Education, Qi Jie, Deputy Dean, Feng Shixuan, Deputy Dean, ZhangYimin, Team Leader of Business Education Management Team of Business ManagementDepartment, Sun Dongshi, Team Leader of Logistics Engineering EducationManagement Team of Business Management Department, and international studentsof 2013 from Moscow State University of Railway Transport (MIIT) and Far EasternState Technical Fisheries University (Dalrybvtuz).

At the beginning, Mr. Feng, representing the School ofInternational Education, expressed sincere congratulations to the successfulgraduation of international students of 2013 from DNUI, and at the same time,praised the Chinese language skill and the expertise they have learned. Mr.Feng also raised a new hope and request to them that they would apply what theyhave learned to later study and life, and set much greater goals forself-development and career planning. Afterwards, two professional teachersanalyzed the problems and challenges the students were currently facing withfrom the perspective of their own specialties, put forward the concepts of“integration” and “communication” respectively, and both expressed that theywould pay attention to the Russian students all the time and were willing toprovide them with all the necessary help.

All the international students made speeches actively ina cheerful and relaxing atmosphere. KUZNETCOVA NATALIIA, majoring in logisticsengineering of 2013 from Moscow State University of Railway Transport and a municipalfirst-class scholarship winner, represented the students and gave a speech influent Chinese: she appreciated the joint education project through which shehad the opportunity to come to China and study in DNUI, she appreciated all theteachers and the people that had offered her help which made her feel grateful,she also appreciated the guidance from the Chinese teacher and the teachers ofspecialty courses, who taught her not only the professional knowledge, but alsothe differences between Chinese and Russian culture. She felt that she had beena part of DNA of DNUI, and would tell the culture and her stories back toRussia and people around her. Other students also expressed their gratitude totheir parents, teachers of DNUI, and Chinese students of our universityrespectively.

At last, Ms. Yang Lu made a concluding speech. She firstpraised the Chinese language skills of all the international students of 2013,and then expressed sincere congratulations on their successfully finishing thestudying in DNUI, and encouraged them to continue to work hard, successfullycomplete the study left and make plans for the life in the future. In the end,she hoped that all the international students could make their contributions tothe cultural, economic exchange and the friendship between Russia and China,and go on to carry forward their own advantages.

After the graduation ceremony, therepresentatives of the students took pictures with the leaders and teachers attendingthe meeting. President Wen dropped by and took pictures with all the studentsand the teachers. The students presented bouquets to President Wen one afteranother and expressed their greetings and best wishes in fluent Chinese.Laughter and cheers came out from the spot from time to time.
